First, be sure you are connected to the employee wifi or wired network. Then download the appropriate driver.
-Open System Preferences and click on Printers and Scanners.
-Click the plus sign just below the printer list to add a printer.
-Click on the Advanced spoke wheel at the top (or you may have to show the advanced wheel if it’s not there).
-Wait for the spinning to stop.
-For “Type" choose "Windows printer via spoolss" from the dropdown menu.
-In the “URL” field, type: "smb://print.ad.mvnu.edu/printerqueuename"
-In the “Name” field, type whatever you want so you know what printer you’re printing too. We usually name it the queue name which is printerqueuename.
-In the “Use” dropdown menu (where it says choose driver) click “select software”
-When the next window pops up, in the filter search, type the model number and then choose the driver that you just downloaded.
-Click OK.
-Click Add.
-Choose the appropriate options for the printer, if you don’t know if it has a 3rd tray, etc, just leave everything set as default and click OK.
