Updating Device Drivers

Updating Device Drivers

Sometimes drivers need to be manually updated, and below we will cover how to do that. Note that these instructions are based on Windows 10 and different systems might require slightly different steps. I'd also like to add that if you aren't experiencing issues, there's no reason to mess with your drivers. This is more of a troubleshooting step if you start experiencing issues.

    1. In the search box on the taskbar search "device manager", then select Device Manager.

    2. Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click the one you’d like to update.
    3. Select Update Driver.
    4. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

    5. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.
