Submitting Time Cards

Depending on where you work, the process for submitting time cards may be a little different.  These specific instructions are for submitting a time card as a Motherboard Technician.


  • Open a web browser, go to portal.mvnu.edu and log in with your MVNU credentials.
  • Once you have logged in, find the "Student Planning" link under the "Student Links" menu in the middle column of the home page. 
  • Once on Self-Service, go to the left-hand menu and click on the "Employment" tab.
  • Under "Employee", go to "Time Entry".
  • A page will appear showing a list of available pay periods to enter time for.  Select the pay period you are entering time for. 
  • Once you have entered your hours correctly, check the box that says "Submit for Approval".
  • If you made a mistake, you can click "Unsubmit" before the timecard is approved.
