These are the instructions for signing up for Alertus & Everbridge (formerly Nixle)

Alertus

  1. Download the Alertus app from the Apple App Store and from the Android Play Store.

  2. Once the Alertus app is installed, enter 6868 to join the MVNU group and then enter the 4 digit code for faculty/staff which can be given by contacting the Hub. The code based on your role with the University and is available at the following links:

    1. Employee - EmployeeNixleSignup (mvnu.edu)

    2. Residential Students - ResidentialNixleSignup (mvnu.edu)

    3. Commuter Students - CommuterNixleSignup (mvnu.edu)

    4. CCP/Parent - ParentNixleSignup (mvnu.edu)

 

Everbridge (formerly Nixle)

  1. Every student, faculty, and staff are automatically enrolled into the everbridge service so that for MVNU Alerts, you are automatically notified.

  2. Texts should come from “89361” and will include “MVNU” at the beginning to authenticate the text message.

NOTE: Monthly test messages are sent out to ensure continued functionality of the product.

  1. If you need to update or change your registered phone number for the service visit alerts.mvnu.edu and click “sign in with SSO credentials.”

  2. Once signed in successfully you can click “My Profile (Edit)” to make changes to your personal information.

NOTE: You can remove your phone number if you want to opt-out of text alerts, but your email is mandatory and cannot be removed.
