How to Convert a Google Docs to Microsoft Word Document

Step 1:

To convert a Google Doc to a Microsoft Word, you will want to open that document and click on the file tab that appears on the top left of your screen.

Step 2:

Next, you will click the download button as shown below.

Step 3:

You will then click the button that says “Microsoft Word (.docx)”. This will then have the document downloaded to your computer or laptop.

Step 4:

Once the document has completed downloading you will open the file by clicking on the link that says, “Open file”. This will take you into Microsoft word.

Step 5:

Now that you are in Microsoft word, you will want to press the button that is inside of the yellow ribbon that says, “Enable Editing”. This will allow you to make any changes to the document that might be needed inside of the Microsoft application.

You are all done!

Now you should have your document in Microsoft Word. Make sure once you make any changes that you save these new changes when you are done because it might not be set up to save automatically.
