How to retrieve a Fax using the MVNU Phone system

  1. All Fax lines should email the designated account setup by ITS for your Fax
number. Please check with your department contact or ITS if this needs changed
    or you have questions.

  2. If you don’t have access to your email, Faxes are also stored on the Phone
Server. To retrieve those, open a browser and go to http://phone.mvnu.edu. (If
off campus, you will need to be on the VPN to access this website).

  3. Login to the fax number you want to send a fax from. The username is the full 10
digit number with no spaces or dashes. The password is either the last 4 digits of
the fax number or the full 10 digit number with no spaces or dashes. If this is a
sensitive area and you would prefer to change the password, please contact ITS
and we can change the password to something else. You may also try to change
the password in this portal yourself. ITS can reset the password if needed.

  4. Click on the Fax widget.

  5. The Inbox generally includes any faxes that are new, although if someone has
opened or read the faxes, they could move to the archive folder. A number
indicates if there are any faxes in each folder. Please also consult with others in
your department as faxes can be deleted by other users in your department.

  6. Click the icon next to each fax to download, delete, or forward (much like an
    email system).

  7. When finished click the Logout option in the bottom left corner of the page to
    logout.
