The following article provides step-by-step instructions for new MVNU board members for accessing the MVNU communication tool Microsoft Teams
You should have received an email to the account you provided the president’s administrative assistant. It would have looked something similar to this:
NOTE: If you did not receive an invitation check your junk/spam folder. If it is not there either, please contact MVNU’s Presidential Administrator or MVNU’s ITS department.
Clicking the “Accept Invitation” link should open a web-browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc…)
You will then be prompted to set up the account security which is listed as “More information required”
Select “Next and it should take you to a page asking you to “Keep your account secure”. There are two primary ways to provide multi-factor security.
The first (and the one MVNU ITS recommends) is by downloading the Microsoft Authenticator app to your mobile phone. The app’s icon matches the one shown in the page you’re currently on.
The second way to provide security for your account is by clicking the link on the bottom of this page that says “I want to setup a different method” which should redirect you to setup your mobile phone’s number for texting authentication.
While this option is available for now, Microsoft expects to phase it out sometime in the near future.
Once this has been
