New Student Account Setup

Welcome to MVNU! As you can imagine there is a lot to know when it comes to technology while on campus. This page will guide you through some basic step by step setup for your MVNU account.

Account Information

The account has been established using your MVNU email and the pass phrase created as part of the checklist from your admissions new student process.

MFA (multi-factor authentication)

Before you do anything else, you should sit down at a computer and go through the MFA setup. Once finalized, MFA will provide a second layer of protection for your account so that not only a pass phrase is required to sign in when off campus. Due to repeated security issues, the need to institute MFA across campus has become standard and is shared among most business & university settings.

PassPhrase (Password)

After getting your MFA set up if you need to reset your passphrase. MVNU suggests using a passphrase instead of a password as they are often more memorable for you and more difficult for attackers to guess. Please visit password.mvnu.edu and you should be able to follow the directions to create your pass phrase using the new MFA solution you just finished.
