How to use a ShareLink
Connecting to a ShareLink:
There are two things that are similar across all devices connecting to a ShareLink:
Both devices need to be connected to the same network (MVNU-Student in classrooms)
The display (Projector in classrooms) will need to be set to the correct HDMI port (should be HDMI 1 in all classrooms, if not HDMI 1, then HDMI 2)
From here on there will be two different sets of instructions: one for connecting from a Windows or Mac computer, and the other for connecting an iOS device (iPad or iPhone)
Figure A
Set 1: Windows computer
Once the screen displayed in Figure A appears on your display, you'll want to enter the IP address marked at 4 into a Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox) that page should load something like Figure B below.
Figure B
Â
Click the Windows button on the left to download some temporary software to connect to the ShareLink, once that installs enter in the code marked by 6 in Figure A and enter your class name (eg. MAT-1034-1), once you connect just click the large play button and you should be good to go
Â
Set 2: Mac Computer or iOS device
Go to where you would normally airplay to an AppleTV (varies between device and iOS version), but instead select the relevant ShareLink (ShareLink-'Room Number' e.g. ShareLink-CC228)
It will ask for a passcode at this point, you will want to enter the number marked at 6 in the first picture (it will probably not be 0000)
You should now be connected, Woohoo!
Audio:
If you are having trouble with the audio, try the following steps:
Changing the volume on the computer (Figure C)

Changing the volume on the projector (Figure D)

Check if the audio (3.5 mm, 1/8 inch, or aux, they're all names for the same thing) cable (see Figure E) is plugged into the back of the computer

If none of the above works, give a call to the Motherboard Helpdesk and we'll have someone over ASAP.
